CIN 33) Tee Higgins WR TEN- The Bengals get a big target (particularly in the red zone) for Joe Burrow to grow comfortable with long term, opposite AJ Green, for now. GRADE A
IND 34) Michael Pittman Jr., WR USC- The Colts need help in a few areas, including the receiving corps, and that is where they went with their 1st pick in the draft. Pittman is a big, strong WR with NFL genes (his father played RB for ARZ , TB, & DEN, winning a Super Bowl with TB. This is a strong draft for WRs, and IND has TY Hilton and last year’s 2nd rder Parris Canpbell, and IND needs help on defense. GRADE B
DET 35) D’Andre Swift, RB Georgia. The Lions had bigger needs, but Swift is the top RB in the draft and with Kerryon Johnson’s injury history, this was a very good pick for Matt Patrician’s group. GRADE A
NYG 36) Xavier McKinney, S, ALA. The Giants have needs all over the defense, but grab a day 1 starter at S here, with the top /1st safety off the board. Grade A
NE 37) Kyle Duggar, S, Lenoir-Rhyne The Pats make their 1st pick of the day and it is the small school star DB/PR im Duggar, who has great physical traits. Belicheck will look to get the most out of him in the NFL. GRADE B
CAR 38) Yetur Gross-Matos DE Penn St. Matt Rhule continues to build in the trenches with more Dline help. For a team that is rebuilding/retooling, he isn’t trying to be flashy, which is a good thing normally. GRADE A-
MIA 39) Robert Hunt OT, LA-Lafayette. The Dolphins build the O-line to protect their investment in Tua, and may have a steal in the physical Hunt, who can play T or G. GRADE B+
HOU 40) Ross Blacklock DT TCU. The Texans make their 1st pick of the day and go Dline with Blacklock, who has a big-motor from inside or out. GRADE B+
IND 41) Jonathan Taylor RB Wisconsin The Colts go with the speedy Taylor to bolster the backfield which already includes Marlon Mack. I like Taylor as a back, but again feel the Colts should have bolstered the D here. GRADE B-
JAX 42) Laviska Shenault WR COL – Shenault has 1st rd talent, but in a strong draft for WRs and a history of injuries push Shenault to RD 2, and the Jags take advantage of that. GRADE B+
CHI 43) Cole Kmet, TE Notre Dame The Bears released big FA TE signing Trey Burton, and draft the highest graded pass catching TE in the draft. GRADE B-
CLE 44) Grant Delpit S, LSU. Cleveland takes a safety who had a tremendous 2018, but struggled a bit in 2019. If they get the 2018 version, its a steal. If the 2019 version shows, well, they have other DBs. GRADE B-
